Chris (Jam Wizard) grew up surrounded by guitars, drums, and a curiosity for every kind of music. Over the past decade, he has taught hundreds of students—both in-home and in studios—guiding them from their first notes to confident performances. With a background in rock, blues, video games and improvisation, Chris focuses on making lessons fun while building strong technical foundations.

Kristen (Dr. Olsen) began her violin studies as a child and followed her passion through college and graduate school, ultimately earning her Doctorate in Music. She has performed and taught across the country, and brings the precision, discipline, and artistry of classical training into every lesson.

Together, we founded Fret & Feather Music Academy to combine those strengths—creativity and structure—in a way that’s tailored to each student. We serve students of all ages across Utah, from Alpine and Lehi through Salt Lake City and Farmington, offering in-home guitar, piano, drums, and violin lessons.
